An estimated half of the world’s schools<\/span>\u00a0don\u2019t have reliable connectivity<\/span>, limiting their access to opportunities. As technology advances rapidly, the unconnected are at even greater risk of falling behind.<\/span><\/em>\n\nThe challenge<\/strong>\n\nIn 2025, <\/span>foraus and Giga piloted the “Giga Knowledge Spark” collaborating with <\/span>Swiss university students <\/span>addressing the challenge: “Incentives towards achieving meaningful connectivity”.<\/span>\n

Digital technologies<\/span> have the potential to connect people, businesses, and schools, boosting inclusive and sustainable growth. While many countries have made significant progress in school connectivity, <\/span>a number of schools<\/span>\u2013particularly in rural, unserved, and underserved areas\u2013<\/span>still lack sufficient or any access to the Internet<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
