But what is the reality? In April 2024, the <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzz.ch\/schweiz\/schweizer-klimaseniorinnen-erzielen-vor-dem-europaeischen-gerichtshof-fuer-menschenrechte-einen-sieg-ld.1825505\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">European Court of Human Rights<\/a><\/span> ruled that Switzerland is not doing enough to combat climate change. However, the question is not so much whether the country is doing <em>enough<\/em>, but rather whether it is taking the <em>right<\/em> measures.\n<h2><strong>More than two-thirds of primary energy is imported \u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\nIn 2022, Switzerland consumed around 765,000 terajoules (TJ) of primary energy for electricity and heat.
