Nicolas grew up in Geneva. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Law at the University of Zurich on dynamic alignment with EU law as envisaged under the proposed ‘Bilaterals III’ package of agreements and other relevant EU international agreements. He holds an LL.M in Intellectual Property and Information Law from King’s College London, a Masters’ degree in Law from the University of Zurich, and a bilingual bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Fribourg.
From 2020 to 2022, he was one of Switzerland’s Youth Representatives to the United Nations, placing his mandate under the theme of ‘Technologies for a Sustainable and Resilient Future’. Nicolas completed traineeships in the Washington, D.C. office of a Member of the US House of Representatives; within the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition, in the team responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the Digital Markets Act; and at major Swiss law firms.
Nicolas’s research interests include international & European affairs, as well as the regulation of new technologies.
