Jelena is a political economist, certified science communicator, and a member of the Hyperpolyglot Association, proficient in 6 languages. She began her academic journey with a Bachelor’s in Economics at the University of Belgrade in Serbia, where she worked for a private research centre and published articles for the Center for the Promotion of Science. She holds a Master’s in Innovation and Development from the University of Torino, and a Master’s degree in Economics and Law from the University of Sorbonne. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with various international organizations in Geneva and Bern, honing her expertise in economic and science policy. Jelena was a volunteer at Tedx, Campus Biotech, and the Women in Technology association at CERN. Currently serving as a Board member of the Economic Policy in the Age of Globalization program, she remains actively engaged in policy organizations and think tanks such as Reatch and Rethinking Economics.
With a deep-seated passion for economics of science and science diplomacy, Jelena continues to contribute her expertise to the intersection of these fields, driving positive change and innovation.
