Selina Hänni has always been fascinated by the interface between Swiss and international politics. Originally from Solothurn, she studied social sciences at the University of Bern, specialising in political science. She then pursued a Master’s degree in European Studies at the University of Basel, with a focus on peace and conflict research. Her first contact with international affairs came during an internship at SwissCore in Brussels, working in the Swiss National Science Foundation’s informal liaison office with the EU. She currently works in the Swiss Public Affairs team at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, combining international issues with Swiss priorities. She has a particular interest in political relations between Switzerland and Europe, as well as Chinese foreign policy.
