Tim completed his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History at the University of Zurich, which included a year abroad at Linnaeus University in Växjö, Sweden, through the Erasmus/SEMP programme. His bachelor thesis explored how peace treaty provisions, particularly those enabling cross-border cooperation, affect political stability in post-conflict regions, focusing on the wars of succession in the former Yugoslavia and the First and Second Congo Wars as case studies. Alongside his studies, Tim gained work experience in medical aid with the Swiss Red Cross blood donation service. This led him to focus his research on how the effectiveness of peace treaty provisions impacts the ability of medical aid organizations to secure access and sufficient working conditions in post-conflict countries. Since August 2024, Tim has been pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Geneva, specialising in Comparative and International Politics, which he will complete with an internship at foraus.
