Basil studied Political Science at the University of Zurich and European Politics at the London School of Economics. Afterwards he worked for two years in South East Asia at the UN’s office in Lao PDR. Prior to this position, Basil supported the European External Action Service, UN-Habitat and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. Basil now works in regional public administration with a focus on economic affairs. He keenly follows debates about Swiss foreign policy and multilateral institutions.
