The European migration and asylum policy has been high on the agenda since 2015. The peak in non-legal migration flows back then raised public attention on the weaknesses of the European approach and system in place within the Schengen space and Dublin asylum system. With the new Pact on Migration and Asylum, the European Commission presented a consolidated proposal for a reform, which is still being debated. What will the European migration policy look like in the decades to come? What are the opportunities for future cooperation? We want to include the perspectives of EU citizens living in Switzerland in the public discourse about the shared future between Switzerland and the EU and discuss these questions during our workshop on migration policy.
