Francesco Bee holds a Master of Arts in European Global Studies from the University of Basel. In 2025, he completed the Asia-Europe Training on Science and Technology Diplomacy organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).
During his studies, he was active in student representation at the university, national and international level. As a Board member and Co-President of the Swiss Student Union, he also represented Swiss students in the European Students’ Union. He subsequently completed an internship in the International Relations Division of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), before working as a scientific advisor to the Directorate of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI).
Francesco currently serves as Head of International Partner Management at the Global Engagement Office of the University of Applied Sciences Bern(BFH). His responsibilities include international partnership agreements, academic mobility and incoming delegations, as well as developing India as a strategic focus country. He coordinates BFH’s contribution to the mobility work package of the European University alliance PIONEER and is establishing the university’s knowledge security function. His professional interests centre on Swiss science diplomacy and academic cooperation with Asia.
