Lukas Gysin completed a bilingual law degree at the University of Fribourg after his professional apprenticeship in Swiss finance. He lived in China for more than two years, where he worked inter alia as a junior officer at the Swiss Embassy. His research interests include Chinese domestic and foreign policy and more specifically Sino-Swiss and Sino-EU relations. As a Basel resident, Swiss EU policy is also an important topic for Lukas. Lukas considers fact-based analyses important in order to translate them into innovative and goal-oriented approaches. He values interdisciplinary research, which is why he is completing his Master’s in European Global Studies at the Europainstitut of the University of Basel.
