Mariana is a Mexican physician and doctoral researcher in Epidemiology based in Switzerland. Her path from clinical medicine to global and public health reflects her interest in understanding how societies and policies shape people’s health and inequalities. She holds a Master’s in Global Health from Switzerland and has also interned at the Luxembourg Institute of Health. Her current research focuses on occupational health and policies that address health inequalities. Mariana is particularly interested in the science–policy interface and in how evidence can inform more equitable and effective health policies. Through her work, she hopes to contribute to bringing scientific perspectives into policy debates and creating stronger links between research, decision-making, and society.
