Marzhan Nurzhan

Marzhan Nurzhan earned a Master of Arts in European Studies and a Master of Science in Social Sciences. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in Peace Research, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Peacebuilding Essentials. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Basel and an Associated Researcher at swisspeace. She is a participant of the 2025 Hiroshima-ICAN Academy on Nuclear Weapons and Global Security. Her research interests include nuclear diplomacy, peace research, and politics of knowledge. Her latest research publication appeared in the International Spectator journal.
