Maureen holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Geneva. She joined foraus in August 2023 as a project and communication intern and is currently completing her Master’s degree in African Studies at the University of Geneva with a thesis on Swiss para-colonial history in Algeria. Her areas of interest are history and contemporary African and European politics, analyzed through postcolonial and feminist theories. During her studies, Maureen was active in various student associations and has also gained some experience in project management in the field of development.
