Nora Naji is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Basel. She holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Geneva and an MA in Culture and Politics from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Her research project critically examines the interlinkages of peacebuilding with the ‘Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism’ (P/CVE) agenda, analysing the role of gender in the implementation of P/CVE in civil society and in international organisations. Before joining the Gender, War and Security Research Group she was a Junior Project Manager at swissnex San Francisco. She also gained professional experience at UNESCO in Paris and at a human rights organisation in Amman, Jordan.
