Sebastian Niessen (DUPLICATE)

Sebastian Niessen was active as a Policy Fellow at foraus. During his studies, he took courses in psychology, political sciences, ethnomusicology, environmental economy, international public law, and Slavonic studies. He worked for civil society (e.g. on youth participation and civic education), did internships at the European Commission, in Mozambique, and at the Swiss federal government (e.g. on migration, WASH, and peace policy) and worked as scientific collaborator for different departments of the Swiss federal government. His interests include ethnic minority issues, the nexus of culture and conflict, and trade-related environmental externalities as well as commons-dilemmas, including their respective legal frameworks. Until August 2026 Sebastian was a part of foraus as a Policy fellow.
