Debora Turuani is currently pursuing a PhD at the Berner Fachhochschule, focusing on poverty-related issues. She holds a Master’s degree in International Development from the University of Bristol and previously completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Neuchâtel.

She has worked with NGOs in Greece, Serbia, and Switzerland, supporting vulnerable populations in complex socio-economic contexts. She also completed a one-year academic internship at the Swiss Embassy in Peru and collaborated with the Locarno Film Festival. Debora has been a regional co-coordinator since April 2024 until January 2026 .
