Alessia grew up in Ticino and is a graduate in International Affairs and Cybersecurity from King’s College London, where her thesis examined information warfare, public opinion and mis/disinformation in Western democracies. She has contributed to research and writing on topics ranging from digital governance to information warfare. Her work often explores the intersection of culture, technology, society, and security. She first engaged with foraus as an Innovation and Project Management Intern until February 2023. After completing her studies she spent a period abroad pursuing an internship at the UN Headquarters in New York under the Department of Peace Operations’ Information Integrity Unit. She is now back in Switzerland and has rejoined foraus as a Science & Technology Policy Fellow, where she aims to contribute with insights related to her area of interest: information warfare, digital spaces, and new technologies.
