Gender Backlash in der Aussenpolitik: un contre-mouvement
Die Schweizer Aussenpolitik befindet sich angesichts geopolitischer Fragmentierung, Budgetkürzungen, Militarisierung, technologischer Umbrüche und der Klimakrise in einem tiefgreifenden Wandel. Gleichzeitig geraten Fortschritte in der Gleichstellung der Geschlechter zunehmend unter Druck. Die Autor:innen unserer neusten Publikation vertreten die Auffassung, dass dieser «Backlash» nicht als Randphänomen verstanden werden kann, sondern eine strukturelle Entwicklung darstellt.

Switzerland’s Advancement of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda
As Switzerland has started its term as an elected member in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in January 2023, this discussion paper explores the ways in which it can advance the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda during its term. WPS came about from the UNSC Resolution 1325 and has been one of the priorities of Switzerland’s foreign policy in recent years. This discussion paper formulates the five key recommendations built upon the case studies of three neutral and like-minded countries – Austria, Ireland, Sweden –, and a questionnaire from experts in the WPS field.

Introducing the Purple Age: Recommandations participatives pour une politique étrangère féministe
Ce rapport présente les résultats d’un processus participatif transnational – mené via notre plateforme en ligne Policy Kitchen – organisé et mis en œuvre par l’Open Think Tank Network et consacré à la question suivante : à quoi devrait ressembler une politique étrangère féministe dans les années 2020 ? Ce processus « bottom-up », qui a rassemblé plus de 200 participant·e·s des cinq continents, a généré une multitude de recommandations politiques pertinentes pour les décideur·euse·s du monde des affaires internationales. Les recommandations pour une politique étrangère féministe (PEF) globale sont présentées dans cinq chapitres thématiques qui ont émergé au cours du processus :

- Environnement et changement climatique
- Paix et sécurité

Introducing the Purple Age: Crowdsourced recommendations for a Feminist Foreign Policy
This report presents the output of a transnational participatory process – Policy Kitchen – organized and implemented by the Open Think Tank Network and dedicated to the question: What should a feminist foreign policy look like in the 2020s? This bottom-up process with over 200 participants from five continents has generated a wealth of relevant policy recommendations for decision-makers in international affairs. The recommendations for a comprehensive feminist foreign policy (FFP) are presented in five thematic chapters, which emerged during the process:

- Health, Safety and Autonomy
- Environment and Climate Change
- Peace and Security
- The Economic Sphere

Making Gender Work: The International Dimensions of Labour Market Inequality in Switzerland
International surveys on economic competitiveness have ranked Switzerland at the top nine years in a row. However, these positive outcomes often stand in opposition with rankings on gender equality in the labour market, which tend to give Switzerland a low score. Indeed, in 2016, the Committee for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) remarked several shortcomings with regards to the implementation of women’s rights to work in Switzerland. The current publication departs from the CEDAW Committee’s recommendations and offers ten policy proposals to ensure gender equality in the world of work in Switzerland.
