In the battle against climate change, having more trees is often presented as a good and very cost-effective measure. But have you ever wondered how expensive it is to plant a tree? And where do we need to grow them, to be effective? How do we scale reforestation projects and how can national and international politics help (or hinder)? And, to top it all off, how are states working together to ensure the protection of our forests and the facilitation of reforestation projects?
To answer all these questions, Reforestation World and foraus are collaborating for a unique workshop at Unternehmen Mitte in Basel!
We will teach you all about our first-hand experiences in planting trees, restoring forests and what governments are doing about it. In this unique experience, you will benefit from our respective expertise on reforestation projects and foreign policy, and in the best case walk away knowing what politics is doing about it and what you yourself can do to support reforestation! From 5 PM onward we will receive you at a reserved table in the café for a little pre-workshop apéro and discussion. At 6 PM, the official part begins upstairs in the Salon.

Come join us at the Politforum in Bern on the 2 July for a workshop with debaters from the ETH Zurich Debate Club. Together we will learn about what an argument actually is, how to select the best arguments and strengthen them and ultimately implement our newly acquired knowledge in a final debate!

Rejoins-nous à la retraite de printemps du foraus, les 13er et 14 mars 2026, pour une expérience exceptionnelle ! En tant que membre de la communauté forausienne, c'est une occasion de #connecter #collaborer #créer ensemble.
L'hébergement, les repas et le programme sont pris en charge par le bureau du foraus. Les bénévoles actif·ve·s bénéficient d'une entrée gratuite, en guise de remerciement pour leur engagement. Les membres sans rôle formel peuvent aussi participer moyennant une petite contribution. Prépare-toi à un week-end de discussions inspirantes, d'ateliers stimulants et de moments conviviaux. Des activités amusantes, des célébrations et de délicieux repas sont également au programme. Note bien ces dates dans ton calendrier et reste à l’affût pour plus de détails !

Rejoins-nous à l’assemblée générale 2026 du foraus, le 9 mai 2026 à Berne. Lors de cet événement annuel, nos membres définissent les orientations stratégiques pour l'avenir du foraus. Outre la partie ordinaire, des discussions politiques ainsi qu'un délicieux apéro attendent les participant·e·s.

Entscheide mit an der foraus Generalversammlung 2026 am 9. Mai 2026 in Bern. An diesem jährlichen Anlass stellt ihr Mitglieder die Weichen für die Zukunft des Vereins foraus. Neben dem statutarischen Teil erwarten euch auch politische Diskussionen sowie ein leckerer Apéro.
